I asked my friends to visit a very small country town; Kyneton. It’s located 85km away from Melbourne in Victoria, Australia. I initially wanted to go there because it looks so pretty and I wanted some nature shots. I decided that my aim would be to purchase their local wine. It’s what they’re famous for, right? Once we got there, it was freezing!
We stopped for breakfast. They had a heater inside so stayed in there for an hour. We checked out their local chocolate and bookstore afterwards.
Only a few minutes after we left, it started to rain. My hands were going numb in the weather. Luckily the information centre was incredibly warm and cozy. The lady there was so nice! She asked us to stand under the heater to keep warm. She told us where we could purchase their local wine (and loads of other things).
We were set on our way– until we couldn’t handle the cold and popped into the nearest store. It was a licensed tea shop called Chai Baby! Chai baby indeed! The whole shop was filled with colourful gifts and things. The place was georgous, but very dear (I’m guessing it’s because most are handmade). I ordered jasmine tea because it’s the only tea that I know I love while my friends purchased sencha and chai latte. FYI, a pot of tea only cost 3 dollars! 3 dollars! That is beyond amazing. I tried sencha and I actually liked it. Before we knew it, it was lunch time. I still haven’t bought wine.
We had a two course meal at Shamrock Hotel for 15 dollars. Gosh, is country life this cheap? I’m a girl so I can’t eat that much in a short amount of time. I was so full I could not walk right. And I still needed to try their wine!
Classic Australian meal!
When I’m a little older and still alive, I want to live in a small town by the lake and this trip really opened my eyes. Can I see myself living in a place like this? I definitely could, despite the horrible weather. Everyone’s so lovely and the area is beautiful. However, I may drive myself crazy from seeing the same people I know all the time. I would have to take many trips to the city to visit friends and because I occasional like the hustle and bustle.
Kyneton has wine and daffodil festivals. I’ll definitely check out the wine festival in the future!

I don’t know why I like these. Maybe it’s because it gives the feeling of warmth, home, and safety?
I can see this everyday if I wanted to! This is what I walked into when I was coming home from Jury duty and I was breathtaken by the wonderful burst of colours. I decided not to be selfish; took some photos and uploaded it onto wordpress unedited.

It’s Friday and all I see is clouds, clouds, and more clouds. I actually miss a clear blue sky. Look at my last photographs taken on a speeding fast moving train.
So today was my first ever proper photoshoot. Normally I carry my camera along and take photos of things I see along the way. So when I mean photoshoot, I’m saying these photos were set up. Here were some of my favourites!
